Inside Episode XXXVIII: Join us for an in-depth exploration of the post-production process for the feature film "Blitz," directed by Steve McQueen. Set in London during World War II's relentless German bombing campaign, The Blitz, the story centers on George, a young boy navigating a perilous journey home to his mother. Editor Peter Sciberras, ACE, along with Supervising Sound Editor and Re-Recording Mixers Paul Cotterall and James Harrison, will share insights on their unique approach to editing and sound design, highlighting how they crafted an atmosphere filled with suspense and captured the intense experience of a city under siege. The session will be moderated by Josh Apter, owner of Manhattan Edit Workshop.

Panelists*:
Paul Cotterall is a British sound editor and re-recording mixer. He has been nominated three times for the BAFTA TV Award for his work on “The Missing,” “Birdsong,” and “Red Riding: The Year of Our Lord 1974.” Other notable projects include “The Northman,” “Small Axe,” and “Nocturnal Animals.”
Peter Sciberras, ACE, is an Oscar-nominated Australian film editor based in London. Sciberras was nominated for an Oscar for Best Achievement in Film Editing on Jane Campion’s “The Power of the Dog.” Sciberras also earned an American Cinema Editors ACE Eddie Award nomination in the category of Best Edited Feature Film – Dramatic, and a Critics Choice Award nomination in the category of Best Editing
His previous filmography includes the following notable titles: David Michôd’s “War Machine,” “The King” (nominated for an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award), and “The Rover” (nominated for an Awards Circuit Community Award).
Josh Apter has worked in all areas of filmmaking, from location sound recordist on numerous feature films, to videographer for Steven Spielberg’s Shoah Foundation, where he recorded the testimonies of over 150 Holocaust survivors. As a film editor, Josh has worked on over ten feature films including "The Holy Land" (winner Slamdance FF/Cavu Pictures Distributor), "Kaaterskill Falls" and "Barbecue is a Noun" (Audience Award for best Documentary at the Rome International Film Festival and the River Run Film Festival).

From his love of post-production, Josh founded Manhattan Edit Workshop in 2002.
